The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Indian Veterinary Association, New Delhi was held in Trivandrum, Kerala. Brainstorming was held in the meeting to prepare a Vision 2030 document to advise the Central and State Governments for framing policies in various fields in the country’s veterinary field. The meeting was attended by the office bearers of the Indian Veterinary Association, presidents and general secretaries of various state associations, and eminent scholars and personalities from the veterinary fraternity.
Dr. A.K. Mishra, Former Vice Chancellor of Central Agriculture University and Former Chairman A.S.R.B. was the chief guest and Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma, President of IVA and Veterinary Council of India was present as the Chairperson of the program.
Dr. Prakash Rao, President National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, New Delhi, and Dr. M.L Sharma, attended the program as the special guest.

In the program, the account of the work of the organization was presented before the house by the general secretary of the association, Dr. Thanigaivelu.
In this two-day meeting, various contemporary topics were discussed before Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma, in which the Indian Council of Veterinary Research (ICVR) at the national level to promote research implementation, one post, one uniform work, one pay scale across the country, promotion of entrepreneurship, uniformity in veterinary activities, the role of women veterinarians in the field and efforts to advance them, to make a uniform course of veterinary medicine across the country, to strengthen the organization’s structure and to encourage veterinarians in their field of work. In-depth discussions were held to try to resolve the problems in the field.
The meeting was organized by the Kerala Government Officers’ Veterinary Association. Finally, the meeting ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Anupam Agrawal to all the guests.
