What is Device Verification feature

Why is the device verification feature important?
WhatsApp uses several cryptographic keys to ensure this. Your communications in the app are end-to-end encrypted and protected with a registered key that allows the WhatsApp client to connect to WhatsApp servers to re-establish a trusted connection.
This verification key allows people to use WhatsApp without having to enter a password, PIN, SMS code or other credentials every time they start the app.

WhatsApp has also introduced WhatsApp Account Protect feature which will help users to transfer account to new phone. But, now it will be difficult to login account from old phone to new phone. Now WhatsApp will ask users to verify this on their old device. With the help of the WhatsApp automatic code feature, the app will now automatically verify that you have a secure connection.
